Proverbs 31 Vitamin for Women
None of our products contain lead however our manufacturer mandates this be included on our bottles to maintain strict quality and control procedures. Please see additional information below:
Prop 65 is not a national health standard. Instead, it is a state specific labeling requirement.
There are almost 900 materials on their list.
In the case of lead specifically, the allowable amount by the state of California is extremely low and well below naturally occurring amounts in many things.
Example:
According to the World Health Organization, this is the average adult daily exposure to lead:
Adult daily exposures to lead
Air
4.0 mcg/day
Water
5.0 mcg/day
Food
20 – 90 mcg/day
According to another study, published on the FDA's website, these are some foods that have over 1mcg of Lead per serving.

The allowable amount by the state of California's Prop 65 rule is 0.5 mcg per serving.
That means that according to the WHO and the FDA, breathing air for a day or eating 5 leaves of lettuce exposes you to a cancerous amount of Lead if you ask the state of California.
U.S Pharmacopeia (USP)'s recognized lead limit is 5.0 mcg per day.
NSF's recognized lead limit is 14.0 mcg per day
California's Prop 65 is 0.5 mcg per day
As you can see from the tables above, the lead limit requiring a Prop 65 warning is nearly impossible to hit in most products containing any herbal ingredients for natural factors.
Lead is never added or used in our manufacturing process.and we maintain strict quality processes in place in accordance with FDA and GMP guidelines for allowable limits of leads and other metals.
To clarify, the products we make are recognized as safe by the FDA and GMP certifiers such as NSF, but the state of California has a completely different standard for labelling.
As a result, law firms have weaponized this against many brands who make a mistake in labelling for California residents, even when products would be considered safe by the FDA, World Health Organization, and NSF.
That is why we require the Prop 65 warning label on supplements that will be marketed or sold to California residents.
